About CSCS

The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), have appointed independent consultancy StableLogic to develop and manage the implementation of their digital transformation.

CSCS is the leading skills certification scheme within the UK construction industry. CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the required training and qualifications for the type of work they carry out.

In total, there are 1.5 million CSCS cards in circulation and up to 400,000 new applications per year. The cards, including the embedded technology, are required to work on the majority of UK construction sites and are even used for construction site entry systems.

Scope

Currently the CSCS card application process is largely manual and includes some paper-based processes. CSCS sought to undertake a full digital transformation in order to significantly improve service to both individuals and to the industry. The new service was set to include online applications, a new app and the delivery of leading-edge customer services.

The Solution

With a detailed understanding of CSCS's vision, we began the digital transformation by analysing cardholder data across 38 different card schemes and understanding what skills and training was needed in each specific area of construction. 
 
With this data, we were able to move forward in building online applications and a completely new app touting fully digitised and managed card services for users across the construction industry. 
 
Through this revolutionary project, CSCS and StableLogic delivered industry-leading customer services with a modern and sleek user experience across all new platforms. CSCS continue to model the future of the construction industry through their forward-thinking vision for enhanced safety in every aspect of construction.
